Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I refresh the page?
Because Local Chat is completely ephemeral and serverless, refreshing the page will sever the connection and erase the chat history. This is a core privacy feature.
Can anyone intercept my messages?
No. The messages are encrypted end-to-end using DTLS/SRTP protocols standard in WebRTC. Without a central server, man-in-the-middle attacks are exceptionally difficult.
